Cockatoos are best known for the enormous
amount of affection they show their owners. This is one bird you can
actually hug! They are far more social than other birds. Some do
talk very well. They will interact with all members
of the family unlike an African Grey or an Amazon which will usually bond
towards one person. Like most other birds,
they can be destructive chewers so do keep an eye on them when they're
out of the cage!
A big cage is a must. They will play for hours and need plenty of toys and stuff to chew on.
